Emergency Command Post Trailer

Emergency Command Post Trailer On Thursday, September 5, 2013, Lomita Sheriff's Station was presented with a new Emergency Command Post Trailer, which was purchased jointly by the cities of Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, and Rolling Hills.

The 26-foot Cargomate "Eliminator" trailer comes equipped with a 5500 watt generator, full bathroom, briefing room, two air conditioning units, awnings on both sides, exterior flood lighting, fold down rear access ramp, pass through service window on the side, external weatherproof enclosure, and room for a 3 person workstation. It will serve as a command post during emergencies, enhancing the ability of Lomita Station deputies to carry out their public safety mission in the most efficient and effective manner possible. The total cost of the trailer was approximately $40,000.

Lomita CERT played a significant role in fund raising for this trailer and will, in collaboration with the CERT groups of the other cities and the Lomita Sheriff's Station use it to coordinate the city's emergency response.

Lomita Mayor, Margaret Estrada, presents the trailer to the LA County Sheriff's, Lomita Station.

Deputy, John Despot, whose hard work made procurement of the trailer possible shows guests its features.
More pictures of the presentation of the trailer can be found on Lomita Station's Facebook page at http://on.fb.me/14vF0Bk.
