Water System Overview

The City's Water Division serves approximately 20,300 residents and has 4,176 service connections within a service area of approximately two square miles.  Water service is provided to approximately 3,898 residential customers, 225 commercial customers, and 53 other customers.

The City's water distribution system consists of 41 miles of water mains, ranging from 2-inch to 16-inches in diameter. The majority, 70%, of the City's water distribution pipes were installed between 1928 and 1940.

Cypress Water Production Facility

The City's Cypress Water Production Facility's (CWPF) was constructed to reduce reliance on costly imported water.  CWPF currently produces 400 to 700 gallons per minute of treated water.

The City's Water Division staff is certified by the State of California to operate, and maintain the City's water distribution system and CWPF.
