LIFELINE PERSONAL RESPONSE SYSTEM

The City of Lomita offers the Lifeline Personal Response System (LIFELINE) on a grant basis to elderly (55 or older) and/or disabled persons with serious health problems who reside within the City. Assistance is available 24 hours a day in conjunction with Lifeline Central Monitoring Services.

How Lifeline Works
A Lifeline subscriber can summon immediate assistance simply by pressing a small transmitter button that can be worn like a pendant or a watch.  When the Lifeline button is pushed, a signal is sent to the Response Center. The Response staff member will call the subscriber's telephone number and if there is no answer, a staff member will be dispatched to the subscriber's home.
