Community Input Needed on Draft Emergency Operations Plan

The City of Lomita is in the process of updating its Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). The community is encouraged to participate in the process by reviewing and commenting on the draft Plan.

 Please visit our booth at the Lomita Railroad Museum Community Day to learn more about the Emergency Operations Plan and ways that you can mitigate damage in your home in the event of a disaster:

 The Emergency Operations Plan describes a comprehensive emergency management system which provides for a planned response to disaster situations. It delineates operational concepts relating to various emergency situations, identifies components of the Emergency Management Organization, and describes the overall responsibilities for protecting life and property and assuring the overall well-being of the population.
