Lomita Sister City Association

The Lomita Sister City Association (LSCA) is a non-profit organization that chose Takaishi, Japan as its Sister City in 1981.  Every other year since it began, the Association has sent approximately eight deserving students and one chaperone to Japan for three weeks.  On alternate years, we host students from Takaishi.

The exchange gives them the opportunity for growth – culturally, socially and academically.  The interactions and home-stays have provided them with the insight that, while we have many cultural differences, we share many more similarities.  It is heart-warming to see the close and lasting relationships that are formed over such a short period of time.

A flyer describing more about the LCSA may be downloaded here.
