Residential Rebate Program
Purpose of the Program
To preserve the City's residential neighborhoods
by assisting property owners to improve their residential
property. Homes must be owner occupied by extremely low,
very low, or low income persons to qualify for the program.
Description of the Program
Residential property owners in the City are eligible
for a cash rebate of 50% of home improvement costs to
a maximum of $7,000 per program year for standard single-family
homes and $5,000 for mobile homes. Work is done by state
licensed contractors through the Community Development
staff.
Eligible Home Improvements
Eligible home improvements include but are not limited
to: house painting, flooring, hazardous interior conditions
(electrical, plumbing, structural), walls and fencing,
garage repairs, roofing, driveway repairs, exterior siding,
plastering and stucco, and the correction of code violations.
