    2. The City Council may discuss and act upon items described under Council Comments; however, items which are not will be limited to Council reports, announcements or requests for clarification, or factual information, or to placement of matters on the agenda for a future meeting.

    3. Persons wishing to speak to the City Council on subjects other than those scheduled are requested to do so at this time. When addressing the council, please come to the podium and give your name and address for the record. In order to conduct a timely meeting, a 5 minute time limit per person has been established. Amendments to Government Code Section 54954.2 prohibit the City Council from taking any action on a specific item unless it appears on a posted agenda. Persons wishing discussion on Consent Agenda items should so state at this time.
  3. CONSENT AGENDA

All items under the Consent Agenda are considered by the Council to be routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There may be separate discussion of these items prior to the time the Council votes on the motion. Specific items may be removed from the Consent Agenda at the request of any Councilmember or staff.

  2. Approval of Demands – $329,382.37
  3. Motion to Waive Further Reading
  4. Report recommending acceptance of road improvements and release of security deposit for Parcel Map No 24717, a subdivision at 2004-10 259th Place. RECOMMEND APPROVAL.

  5. Report recommending slurry seal of parking lot at Lomita Park at a cost not to exceed $3500. RECOMMEND APPROVAL.

PUBLIC HEARING
  1. DISCONTINUANCE OF NONCONFORMING USES

Public hearing on proposed ordinance amending the Municipal Code relative to the discontinuance of nonconforming uses. Presented by Com Dev Dtr Kawasaki.

SCHEDULED MATTERS

6. LOMITA LITTLE LEAGUE

Report relative to request from Lomita Little League to hold Third Annual Opening Day Parade on March 10th. Presented by Asst City Adm.

CLOSED SESSION

Public employee appointment – title: City Administrator pursuant to G C Section 54957.

Real Estate Negotiations –conference with real property negotiator: Property at 2137 W. 250th Street – Negotiating Parties: City Administrator and the TransMachine Foundation: Under negotiation: price and terms of payment pursuant to G C Section 54956.8.
