    2. The City Council may discuss and act upon items described under Council Comments; however, items which are not will be limited to Council reports, announcements or requests for clarification, or factual information, or to placement of matters on the agenda for a future meeting.

    3. Persons wishing to speak to the City Council on subjects other than those scheduled are requested to do so at this time. When addressing the council, please come to the podium and give your name and address for the record. In order to conduct a timely meeting, a 5 minute time limit per person has been established. Amendments to Government Code Section 54954.2 prohibit the City Council from taking any action on a specific item unless it appears on a posted agenda. Persons wishing discussion on Consent Agenda items should so state at this time.

  3. CONSENT AGENDA

All items under the Consent Agenda are considered by the Council to be routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There may be separate discussion of these items prior to the time the Council votes on the motion. Specific items may be removed from the Consent Agenda at the request of any Councilmember or staff.

  2. Approval of Demands – $118,627.74
  3. Motion to Waive Further Reading
  4. Report submitting Claim for Damages submitted by Robert Anthony Blood for property damage to vehicle caused by city tree limb. REJECT CLAIM.
  5. Report from Railroad Museum Board recommending increase in rental rates for use of Museum Annex Park. RECOMMEND APPROVAL.
  6. Report recommending support of SB 98 and AB 38 dealing with funding of clean fuel programs and development of new technology to reduce air pollution. RECOMMEND APPROVAL.
  7. Report submitting ordinance amending Section 4-5.01 of the Municipal Code regulating publication vending machines. INTRODUCE & CALL FOR HEARING APRIL 5.

SCHEDULED MATTERS

  1. BUSINESS SIGNS

Request for update on business signs and design guidelines for signs in the downtown area as requested by Mayor Traina. Presented by Planner Kawasaki.

CLOSED SESSION

Conference with Real Property negotiator – property address: 24000 ½ Pennsylvania Avenue – Assessor’s Parcel Nos 7374-009-900 and 7374-009-901. Negotiating party: City Attorney.
