Effective July 2008, City Hall hours of operation were expanded to cover the hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. City Hall will be closed on alternate Fridays.
With the earlier and later hours, City Hall will be fully staffed to assist residents and businesses with all of their needs in a more efficient and timely manner. The closure on alternate Fridays will contribute to energy conservation and cost savings at city facilities. Extended daily hours will provide working residents more opportunity to access city services. Lomita City Hall operates on a 9/80 work schedule. This means City Hall is open 9 days over a two week period and closed every other Friday.
Parks and Recreation Department programs, public safety personnel and emergency services are not affected by this change.
