CITY HALL ANNOUNCES EXPANDED HOURS OF OPERATION

Effective July 2, 2007 City Hall hours of operation were expanded to cover the hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Beginning July 13, 2007, City Hall will be closed on alternate Fridays.

With the earlier and later hours, City Hall will be fully staffed to assist residents and businesses with all of their needs in a more efficient and timely manner. The closure on alternate Fridays will contribute to energy conservation and cost savings at city facilities. Extended daily hours will provide working residents the opportunity to access city services for their convenience. Lomita City Hall operates on a 9/80 work schedule. This means city hall is open 9 days over a two week period and closed every other Friday.

Parks and Recreation Department programs are not affected by the change in City Hall hours. Public safety personnel and emergency situations are also not impacted.
